SynChem, Inc., founded in 1997 and headquartered in Elk Grove Village (a suburb of Chicago), Illinois, is a chemistry-based contract research organization specializing in organic synthesis, process development and medicinal chemistry. Since its inception, SynChem has completed more than 4,500 projects for wide range of customers, including multi-national pharmaceutical companies, biotech companies, drug discovery companies, chemical and agrochemical companies, generated more than 15 scientific publications, obtained 4 US Patents. Three projects initiated at SynChem reached marketplace by the continued efforts of the customers. In addition, SynChem has more than 2,000 in-stock catalog products
In 2001, a subsidiary, SynChem (China), was established in Shanghai. Through the integration of the Chicago and Shanghai sites, SynChem offers its customer seamless services to satisfy ever expanding needs in a very cost effective manner with ensuring of IP-protection and on-time delivery.
In 2011, SynChem GMP was founded to provide Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC) services including manufacture and supply of active pharmaceutical ingredients under cGMP conditions in compliance to FDA regulations to support clinical trials by pharmaceutical and biotech companies as well as regulatory documentation preparation and submission (e.g., IND, ANDA and NDA).
